Wherever you get off and explore, the city is full of interesting places to see. However, we believe you shouldn't miss the Puertas de la Tierra, which were once part of the old city walls and now serve as a boundary between the city's historic centre and more contemporary neighbourhoods.
Plaza de la Hispanidad, home to the striking monument honouring Spain's 1812 constitution—also referred to as La Pepa or the Constitution of Cádiz—is another excellent place to stop down. At a period when sections of Spain were still under French occupation, Cadiz was one of the safest towns in Spain and served as the location for the signing of the constitution.
