The Aquarium is linked with the Turtle Hospital and Florida Sea Turtle Stranding Network comprising of state agencies, universities and marine parks, all engaging in the care and rehabilitation of injured sea turtles. Many of the turtles held in the Aquarium are presently recuperating, and some will be kept permanently in the Key West Aquarium due to their injuries.
