The History:
Go back in time to Victorian London, the era when the capital's streets were frequented by Jack the Ripper. However, who was he? Early on August 31, 1888, a man discovered a formless bundle lying on the ground while strolling down a dark path in Whitechapel on his way to work. Upon conducting an investigation, he discovered that Mary Ann Nichols, an East End prostitute, had been brutally slain. This was the first of many murders that led to one of the world's most well-known man hunts.
The Tour:
On this walking tour, you will discover the locations of the gory murders as you trace the dark path that Jack the Ripper left behind during the Victorian era in East London's Whitechapel. Your guide will meet you at Tower Hill London Underground Station as you begin your spine-tingling tour. After that, you'll visit Mitre Square and Aldgate High Street, the locations of Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes' murders.
The next location is Goulston Street, the site of what is likely the most important lead to cracking the case of Jack the Ripper! Wander along Commercial Street until you reach the infamous Hanbury Street, where the horrifyingly disfigured body of Annie Chapman was found.
